Yin Yoga & Restorative Yoga - In Person 11/8 - 11/9/25

YIN we will explore the History of Yin with a discussion of the 3 tenets of YIN Yoga and how to assist your class in proper and safe execution of these tenets. Obtain an understanding of the science and anatomy of fascia and how YIN yoga creates flexibility and ease within the body.  Students will understand the connection of fascia and the ability of fascia to communicate with the body. Breakdown asanas, the anatomy and the benefits of each asana.  How to use props and variations of asanas for any body.  Understand the importance of counter poses.  How to use and create unique counter poses.  Students will be able to identify the meridians as well as understand which asanas affect which meridians. Sequencing a YIN practice and the usage of meditation in YIN.  

A restorative yoga class can be so valuable for those whose lives tend to be chaotic and stressful, dealing with energy draining, stressful situations. Restorative asanas calm the central nervous system as well as calming the mind. 

Students learn the skills to teach themselves and others how to release deeply rooted stress; learning to tune into their bodies as well as teaching others to tune into their bodies.  Understanding the importance of breathwork  and practicing mindfulness in their practice as well as learning to pay close attention to sensations as they arise in the body.  

Identify the many benefits of Restorative Yoga energetically, emotionally, mentally and physically. Review the systems of the body which have an impact on stress.  Learn utilization of props.  Learn the most popular restorative asanas and how to sequence a restorative class.
